Washing: Machine wash on a gentle cycle at 30°C with mild detergent (fasten Velcro before washing). The double-thickness microfiber cotton towelling and fleece construction can handle regular washing to maintain hygiene and absorbency.

Drying: Air dry by laying flat or hanging. We do not recommend tumble drying. The quick-drying properties of the microfiber towelling mean your coat will be ready for the next adventure quickly.

Maintenance Tips: Between washes, shake out any debris and allow to air if damp. Check the waterproof zip regularly and ensure Velcro fastenings are free from hair and debris to maintain their grip.

What’s the difference between Perfectly Practical and Superior Perfectly Practical?

Both coats offer the same functional design, made with quick-dry 358gsm microfiber towelling inside and a warm 300gsm fleece outer. The Superior version includes a fully piped finish around all edges for a more refined look and an extended girth band for improved sizing flexibility across more dog breeds. Everything else, including fit, features, and drying performance, remains the same.

How do I put the coat on my dog?

The drying coat slips easily over your dog’s head. The underbelly panel passes between their front legs and wraps around their waist, fastening securely with an adjustable Velcro girth strap. Rear leg straps help keep the coat snug and in place for maximum drying efficiency.

Can my dog wear the coat during walks?

Yes! There’s a convenient lead hole at the back of the neck so you can clip on a lead even while the coat is on. It’s perfect for quick exits from the car or short walks after swims or baths.

How do I clean the drying coat?

The coat is fully machine washable. Wash on a gentle cycle and tumble dry on low heat. Please refer to the washing label for best results. The coat also features a hanging loop for easy drying or storage.

Do the coats fit deep-chested or broad-neck dogs?

Yes, the front neck zip allows extra room for dogs with a larger neck or chest girth. The flexible fleece collar can also be folded down to improve airflow as your dog begins to dry off.

How do I know which size to choose?

We recommend measuring your dog’s back length (from base of neck to base of tail) and chest girth. Compare your dog’s measurements to our sizing guide for the best fit. If in doubt, our team is happy to help you find the perfect size.

Are the drying coats suitable for all seasons?
